Matrix Bricks Infotech celebrates Raksha Bandhan

raksha bandhan festivalRaksha Bandhan or Rakhi festival is one of the most popular festivals in India and it is celebrated on Shravan Purnima. This festival is celebrated by brothers and sisters all over. Sisters tie a decorative thread commonly known as Rakhi on wrists of brothers and brothers pledge to protect the sisters whenever there is a need for it. This festival reiterates the bond and firm relationship between sisters and their brothers. Sisters wait all year for this day to come for expressing their unconditional feeling of love, care, and affection for their brothers.

This festival, as per English calendar, mostly comes in August month but sometimes it is celebrated in July if Shravan Purnima comes early. This year, it will be celebrated on 20th of August.

People celebrate this festival with great zeal and enthusiasm. Both brothers and sisters wait for this festival and prepare for celebrations in advance. There are different Rakhis available in the market and sisters let their creativity fly while choosing them.

While celebrating, sisters often put ‘tikka’ forehead and put some rice seeds or ‘Akshata’ on the head of their brothers to pray for their well-being. People make different sweets on this festival like Rava laddoo, Pista Sandesh, Kesar Burfi, Malpua, Basundi, Vermicelli, Ghevar, etc.

Raksha Bandhan is all about righteousness, care, and love between brothers and sisters. It isn’t just about tying frail thread of Rakhi. This bond is considered to be stronger than the iron chains and has been celebrated in India since long time. Traditions and customs are still largely followed but celebrations have changed.

All of us at Matrix Bricks Infotech wish you a very Happy Raksha Bandhan.
